Alon Pereg is the Founder and CEO of SimpliFly, an app based company that helps people alleviate their fear of flying. We have a great talk about people’s fear of flying and how the app he created is helping others around the world. It’s always great speaking with someone that is doing more than what is necessary and they get to help others travel and see the world thru flying.
Based on his more than 40 years in aviation, as a former fighter pilot (A4, F16) in the Israeli Air Force and his experience as an airline captain (B737, B747, B787), he created the concept that helped hundreds of people in winning their freedom and fly.

ABOUT Alon and SimpliFly
Flying has always been my dream. Ever since I was a young boy watching planes fly overhead, I wanted to be an aviator. That dream came true when I served as a pilot in the Air Force for over two decades, and later went on to become a commercial airline captain.
I have been fortunate to see many sunrises and sunsets from above the clouds, and have transported hundreds of thousands of passengers safely from one destination to another.
But I recognize that for many, flying represents a nightmare. (You probably know someone dear to you who refuse to even get on a plane.) Up to 40% of people suffer from aviophobia. Airlines are certainly losing out on a lot of potential customers. And those people are losing out on amazing personal and professional experiences.
It might not surprise you that countless people have consulted me on everything from the mechanics of aircraft and various flight complications to adverse weather and crew responses. In reassuring them, I realized that it would be possible to make an even bigger impact.
My mission is to make flying not only a tolerable experience, but an enjoyable one. This is why I founded SimpliFly.
